HONOR THOSE WHO SERVED

To establish a basis for honoring Veterans who served to preserve America’s freedom

History

Missing in Clearwater Region’s history has been the military recognition of Veterans since WWI. Given that there are 400,000 living Veterans in the region, and an untold number of deceased Veterans, The Veterans Alliance of Clearwater has formed this memorial Foundation to give long overdue tribute to this region’s history. Therefore, our organization assumes responsibility to create, fund and develop this Tribute at Crest Lake Park in Clearwater. Each Statue will recognize a particular Service and will depict the combat uniform of the era: WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Desert Storm, Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Honor Your Beloved Veteran

To start the process a registration form will need to be filled out in order for you to memorialize your veteran forever at the Florida Veterans Memorial in Clearwater, FL. The memorial tiles will be black granite with silver letters and will be placed on the walls that encircle the memorial. You will be able to submit two lines with a maximum of 20 characters per line for each 12″ x 4″ section of granite tile at the memorial.

There are a limited number of tiles available for you to purchase at the memorial, so it is important to submit your registration form as soon as possible. Only the first 1000 submissions will be guaranteed a location on the interior walls of the memorial. Upon verification of the name and military service of the veteran to be honored, we will notify you that your application has been accepted. We can verify service with a DD214, VFW membership, American Legion membership, or similar VSO that has previously verified the service of the veteran.

The tiles are put up at the memorial in batches, so it may be several months before your tile is created and put up at the plaza.
